AI Tools Spotlight
Discussions on AI tools are found everywhere. But when our own Vanessa, the recruiting expert, got us buzzing about the coolest AI tools in town—ChatGPT, Google's Bard, You.com, Bing Chat, and the fresh face, Perplexity AI, we just couldn't leave it be!🌐🔍
According to the experts who engaged with the post, ChatGPT by OpenAI stands first followed by Bard and DALL-E with Bing. Here are all the tools they discussed in detail:
OpenAI's ChatGPT: A versatile generative AI tool by OpenAI, specializing in natural language understanding and generation.
Google's Bard: Google's AI language model is designed for generating human-like responses and understanding context.
You.com: An AI tool focused on personalized search and information retrieval, aiming to provide tailored results.
Bing Chat: Bing's chatbot leveraging AI for interactive and conversational experiences.
Perplexity AI: An AI tool with real-time web search capabilities, emphasizing up-to-date information retrieval.
But the majority of them including Vanessa herself were super into the new player Perplexity AI. So we dug deep! We checked what the other recruiting minds think and turns out they are all positive about the new guy!
Here’s what Full Stack Recruiters got as a response while using Perplexity.ai for a candidate outreach email template! Crazy right? Look at the details.
So we gave in and tried ourselves. Scroll down for our prompt and response
Prompt: I am looking to hire an experienced candidate for a Senior Software Engineer role. Please provide a concise email I can send to him. The candidate I am considering has seven years of experience, which is ideal for our requirements. His skills in Python are highly appreciated. He is from London, so perhaps add a polite note. I am recruiting him for a Fortune 500 firm, so highlight that.
Why don’t you test it yourself and see if it fits your recruiting needs?
Diversity Decoder: Does "Inclusive" Matter in Job Ads?
In the race to hire the best people, companies are trying everything. But, when they say, "We're inclusive!" in job ads for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), does it really work? 🤔
The Facebook post by Stan Rolfe discusses the effectiveness of including diversity and inclusion (DEI) statements in job ads. 🌐The debate surrounds the effectiveness of DEI statements in job ads, with contributors offering various perspectives on the topic. 🗣️
Several individuals provide insights on this topic. Joanne Lockwood emphasizes the importance of evidence and employer branding, while one mentioned that Textio has data on the effectiveness of such statements. 📊
One highlighted that the UK Chartered Institute of Personal Development does not recommend diversity statements due to inconclusive data. 📉
Other comments touch on the impact of DEI statements on candidate preferences and the need for evidence to support such claims. The post raises questions about the significance of DEI statements and their impact on attracting the right candidates. 💬
The general consensus is that while such statements are common, their actual impact and effectiveness remain a subject of debate. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
